Thank you for your interest in supporting our community by volunteering. Below are the current volunteer opportunities along with instructions on how to volunteer for them.

NARC Casino

October 31 and November 1 at the Grand Villa Casino located in Rogers Place, downtown Edmonton.

Well, here we are, with the Casino just over a week away, and we are still DESPERATELY short of volunteers!

For those that don't know, this casino is the majority of the clubs yearly income, and if we default on our volunteering, we will be blackballed for YEARS!

I am still short two day shift Cashiers on November 1st, from 1:30pm to 8:30pm,

And 10 volunteers for both October 31st and November 1st, from 11:00pm to 3:30am

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you can spare a few hours from your evening to help the club, Reach out to me as soon as you can.

Christmas in the Hearland (Josephburg) - November 30, 2024

We will be directing traffic, managing the parking area, and helping to ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable time.

Volunteer Start Time: TBD (we should finish around 1900)

Fireworks: 1830

Christmas in the Country (South Cooking Lake) - December 07, 2024

We will be directing traffic, managing the parking area, and helping to ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable time.

CP Holiday Train in Josephburg - December 12, 2024

The CP Holiday Train is an annual tradition that follows two different routes on alternating years. On even numbered years the route takes the train through the Hamlet of Josephburg,

Hypothermic Half Marathon (Running Room) - February xx, 2025

The amateur radio community has supported this event for many years, with this being a ham favourite (probably due to the delicious buffet afterwards). As usual, we provide radio communications along race course with net control being run out of NARCpac located at the start/finish line, where we usually host one of the medical staff.
